WESTCHESTER KNICKS ANNOUNCE LAUNCH OF 2026-27 COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT PROGRAM

 WHITE PLAINS, NY – October 6, 2026 – The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, announced the launch of the 2026-27 Community Spotlight Program, a season-long initiative recognizing local organizations and businesses making a positive impact within Westchester County and its surrounding communities. 

Formerly known as the Non-Profit of the Night Program, the Community Spotlight Program expands the initiative to recognize non-profits, community organizations and businesses whose work positively impacts the local community. Areas of focus include youth sports and basketball, health and wellness, youth development and broader community enrichment. 

Through the program, the Westchester Knicks will use the team’s platform to elevate impactful work happening throughout the region, share the stories of participating organizations and connect them with fans at the Westchester County Center. The program reflects the Westchester Knicks’ core belief that through basketball we can inspire, teach, instill positive change, and strengthen community by bringing people together. 

Selected Westchester Knicks Community Spotlight organizations will be featured at specialty Westchester Knicks home games and receive game-day experiences that may include in-game recognition, fan engagement and fundraising opportunities designed to increase awareness and support for their missions. 

The Community Spotlight Program complements the Westchester Knicks’ broader portfolio of community engagement initiatives, which includes Jr. Knicks basketball clinics, the Season of Giving platform, and other impact-driven efforts implemented throughout the season.
