Westchester Knicks Acquire Zak Irvin

WHITE PLAINS, NY, Jan. 25, 2018 – The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, today announced the team has acquired guard Zak Irvin off waivers.

A 2017 Michigan graduate, Irvin (6-6, 215) played all four years for the Wolverines with averages of 11.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.0 assists over 29.7 minutes per game while finishing third in program history in three-point field goals made (241) and attempted (681). A member of the Big Ten All-Tournament Team in 2016 and 2017, he also earned All-Big Ten Honorable Mention (Media) honors and received All-Big Ten Honorable Mention (Coaches) in 2016. After going undrafted in the 2017 NBA Draft, Irvin signed with the Miami Heat and was a member of the team’s entry in the 2017 NBA Summer League in Orlando and Las Vegas where he averaged 2.9 points and 2.8 rebounds in 10 games.

The Westchester Knicks will host the Erie BayHawks, the Atlanta Hawks’ affiliate, this Saturday, Jan. 27 for a 5:00 p.m. matchup at the historic Westchester County Center. The game will be broadcast live on MSG Networks and streamed via Twitch, the world’s leading social video service and community for gamers with 15 million daily active users.
