Westchester Knicks Acquire Travis Trice II, Waive Mike Davis

WHITE PLAINS, NY, February 28, 2017 – The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA Development League affiliate of the New York Knickerbockers, announced today the team has acquired returning player Travis Trice II.

Trice (6-2, 175) was originally acquired by Westchester as an affiliate player after spending the 2015-16 preseason with the New York Knicks. Appearing in 49 regular season and two playoff games for Westchester, Trice averaged 15.3 points, 5.7 assists, and 3.4 rebounds over 34.1 minutes per game. The Michigan State graduate set the team’s all-time assist record of 14 on March 3, 2016 against the Canton Charge. Trice most recently played for the Cairns Taipans of the National Basketball League in Australia, where he earned the title of Cairns Taipans MVP.

Westchester also announced the release of forward Mike Davis (6-9, 225). Davis appeared in 24 games this season, averaging 4.1 points and 2.9 rebounds over 13.1 minutes per game.
