Westchester Knicks Acquire Sekou Wiggs

 WHITE PLAINS, NY, Jan. 22, 2018 – The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, today announced the team has acquired guard Sekou Wiggs from the available player pool.

Wiggs (6-4, 195) most recently played for Basketball Club Tsmoki-Minsk in Minsk, Belarus, appearing in nine games to average 4.3 points and 1.4 rebounds over 14.1 minutes per game. A 2017 graduate of Alaska – Anchorage, Wiggs averaged 24.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 34.6 minutes per game his junior and senior year, winning GNAC Newcomer of the Year and being named to the GNAC All-First Team in 2016. Prior to Alaska – Anchorage, Wiggs played two seasons at Idaho where he averaged 10.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.0 assists over 24.8 minutes per game.

The Westchester Knicks are back home at the historic Westchester County Center tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 23 at 11:00 a.m. to host the Canton Charge, the Cleveland Cavaliers’ affiliate, for the team’s second School Day game of the season. The game will be broadcast live on MSG Networks and streamed live via Facebook Live.
