Westchester Knicks Acquire Nikola Jovanovic in Trade

 WHITE PLAINS, NY, March 2, 2017 – The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA Development League affiliate of the New York Knickerbockers, announced today the team has acquired forward Nikola Jovanovic from the Grand Rapids Drive in exchange for its own 2017 NBA D-League Draft second round pick.

Jovanic (6-11, 240) signed with the Detroit Pistons on Sept. 26, 2016 after going undrafted in the 2016 NBA Draft. Appearing in one preseason game, the Serbia native was then designated to the NBA D-League’s Grand Rapid Drive. Jovanovic has appeared in 24 games for Grand Rapids this season, averaging 9.5 points and 7.1 rebounds over 17.4 minutes. Prior to his debut professional season, Jovanovic spent three seasons at the University of Southern California.
