Westchester Knicks Acquire Malcolm Cazalon

NEW YORK – February 24, 2024 – The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, have acquired Malcolm Cazalon via waivers.

Cazalon, 22-years old (6-6, 185-pounds), from Roanne, France, last played on a Two-Way contract for the Detroit Pistons and Motor City Cruise appearing in 26 games overall (Showcase + Regular Season) during the 2023-24 NBA G League Season. In 14 games (7 starts), Cazalon averaged 9.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game while shooting 34.6% from three in the regular season. He also averaged 11.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.3 steals, while also shooting 42.9% from three in 12 games (10 starts) during the Winter Showcase.

On November 18, 2023, Cazalon recorded a career night in points, rebounds, steals, and three-pointers made with 26 points, 7 rebounds, 4 steals, and 6 made threes against the Grand Rapids Gold.

Undrafted in the 2023 NBA Draft, Cazalon began his professional playing career in 2018 with JL Bourg in the French LNB Pro A League and was later loaned to Leuven Bears in Belgium. He would then join Mega Bemax in Serbia from 2020-23. In 2018, he won a silver medal representing France in the FIBA U17 World Cup in 2018. He averaged 16.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game for the National team.

Cazalon joins the Westchester Knicks amidst a nine-game road trip that begins against the Maine Celtics Sunday, February 25th at 1:00 P.M.
