Westchester Knicks Acquire DaQuan Jeffries

NEW YORK – January 2, 2024 – The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, have acquired DaQuan Jeffries as a returning rights player. Subsequently, the team has waived Kaiden Rice.
Jeffries, 26, (6-5, 230-pounds), most recently was a member of the New York Knicks before being waived on Dec 30th. Jeffries played in 10 games, where he averaged 1.1 points per game on 41.7% shooting. Jeffries returns to the Westchester Knicks after playing with the club during the 2022-23 season, playing in an overall (Showcase + Regular Season) 36 games (36 starts) holding averages of 19.9 points on .488% shooting, 6.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.6 steals. His Season-high came against the Raptors 905 in which he scored 37 points (14-21 FG), 4-threes, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals.
Rice, 24, (6-6, 210-pounds), was acquired via local tryout. Rice played in 10 overall games for the Westchester Knicks this season, averaging 5.0 points per game. During the start of the regular season, Rice appeared in 3 games (0 starts) and is averaging 12.0 points, 1.3 steals per game.
The Westchester Knicks go on the road to face the Long Island Nets on Wednesday, January 3rd at 7:00 P.M.
