Westchester Knicks Acquire Ben Strong, Waive CJ Giles

WHITE PLAINS, November 24, 2015 – The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA Development League affiliate of the New York Knickerbockers, announced today that the team has acquired returning player Ben Strong. He will be available in tonight’s match-up against the Idaho Stampede at the Westchester County Center.

Strong (6-11, 230) was originally acquired by the Westchester Knicks in the 2014 NBA D-League Expansion Draft. Spending the entire 2014-15 season on the team’s inaugural roster, Strong averaged 11.1 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.0 block in 50 games (27 starts) for Westchester. He most recently played in the Uruguayan League in South America.

Westchester also announced the release of center CJ Giles. Giles appeared in four games for Westchester, totaling 1.0 point and 8.0 rebounds in 23 minutes of play.
