Westchester and Delaware kept it close in the opening moments of the first quarter. Delaware managed to jump out to a 12-point lead by the midway mark of the window on an abrupt 12-0 run, 24-12. Westchester narrowed it to single digits formost of the remainder of the first and trailed just five by the start of the second. Neither team credited a double-figure lead for the duration of the game with four ties occurring before the final buzzer. The last deadlocked score came with 1:09 left, 114-up. Untimely turnovers and empty possessions impeded the Knicks comeback and three trips to the line for the Blue Coats helped promote and protect their eventual lead.
