Westchester and Delaware kept it close in the opening moments of the first quarter. Delaware managed to jump out to a 12-point lead by the midway mark of the window on an abrupt 12-0 run, 24-12. Westchester narrowed it to single digits formost of the remainder of the first and trailed just five by the start of the second. The Knicks and Blue Coats stayed within striking distance of one another through the second period with Delaware owning a two-point edge by the intermission, 68-66.

Neither team credited a double-figure lead for the duration of the game with four ties occurring before the final buzzer. The last deadlocked score came with 1:09 left, 114-up. Untimely turnovers and empty possessions impeded the Knicks comeback and three trips to the line for the Blue Coats helped promote and protect their eventual lead.
