Top of the Notch Stat Line for Jacob Toppin

WHITE PLAINS, NY – February 10, 2024 – Jacob Toppin of The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, erupted for 40 points helping defeat the Birmingham Squadron on Friday night at the Westchester County Center, 139-128.
Toppin, 23-years old, led the Knicks with a career-high 40-point performance shooting 55.0% (11-20) from the field and 50% (2-4) from beyond the arc. He also set a new career high grabbing 14 rebounds, in addition to 4 assists and 2 blocked shots.
Toppin became the first player in Westchester Knicks Franchise History to record 40 points and 14 rebounds in a single game.
Westchester kept the game close after the first period vs the Squadron but fell behind by 12 points at halftime, 59-67. The Knicks regained the lead scoring 42 points in the third quarter due to strong performances from Toppin and Brandon Goodwin (20 points, 14 assists, and 7 rebounds). Charlie Brown Jr. brought the defensive intensity and his three-point prowess as he finished the night as the second leading scorer for the Knicks with 24 points, 2 blocks and 4 threes. The Squadron made several attempts to take back control of the game, but the Knicks stood their ground and never relinquished the lead. Malcolm Hill was the leading scorer for the Birmingham Squadron with 39 points, 5 rebounds and 6 threes.
