HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL – January 4, 2020 – Lamar Peters of the Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, set a new franchise high, with 10 three-pointers made as the Knicks beat the Windy City Bulls, 122-108, Saturday night at Sears Center.

The Knicks (10-11) caught fire early draining 10 of their first 11 shots-half of which were swished from deep. Lamar Peters credited three of them as Westchester owned a 24-7 lead by the 6:32 mark of the opening quarter. Simisola Shittu checked in the game moments later and scored all six of the Bulls’ (10-11) points during a brief 6-3 run that helped pull the hosts within 14, the closest they would get within the Knicks until 3:16 was left in the third quarter.

Windy City’s inability to contain Westchester permitted the Knicks highest offensive output in a half all season. The Knicks led 72-55 after 24 minutes, trumping their previous high (70) set two games ago. 24 fouls committed by the Bulls sent Westchester to the line 16 times in the first half alone, one-short of a season-best for the team in a game.

The Bulls disabled the Knicks for most of the third quarter’s backend scoring 17 unanswered points and coming within four, 86-82 with 51 ticks remaining in the period. Once again it was Shittu that commanded the run tallying nine of his team’s points. Peters and Tyler Hall both benefitted three points apiece to put the Knicks back up 92-82 before the fourth.

Peters refused to let up swishing four more three pointers on 66.7-percent in the final frame that would see him set a new franchise record (10 3PM). Scoring 12 of the Knicks’ 30 points and assisting on four of the team’s 11 shots, Windy City had no silencer for Peters and would settle for the 14-point setback.

Peters finished with a career-high 31 points with all of his makes coming from the perimeter (10-of 15) to go along with eight assists. Hall also established a new career-high with 20 points while also grabbing five boards and dishing four assists. Two-Way player Ivan Rabb flirted with a triple-double ending with 13 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists.

Milton Doyle scored a game-high 34 points for the Bulls. Shittu scored 29 points off the bench.

Westchester’s 19-of-37 distance shooting was the team’s best showing with at least 30 attempts since November 14, 2017 (at Raptors 16-for-31, 51.6%) and December 15, 2017 (at South Bay 16-for-31, 51.6%).

The Knicks are back Tuesday, January 7 at Westchester County Center. Westchester welcomes Delaware at 7 PM ET.
