By Westchester Knicks Staff /February 15, 2023

WASHINGTON, DC – February 15, 2023 – The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, played its first overtime matchup this season with the target score inclusion and beat the Capital City Go-Go, 111-109, Wednesday afternoon at Entertainment and Sports Arena. This serves as Westchester’s final contest before the NBA All-Star Break and second consecutive win.

Trevor Keels (Two-Way Player) paced the Knicks (8-11) with 23 points on 47-percent-his fourth time leading the club in the regular season. Keels also came away with four rebounds, two assists and four triples. DaQuan Jeffries (Two-Way Player) tallied 19 points on 50-percent, eight rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks. Melvin Frazier Jr. (trade) and Dmytro Skapintsev (tryout) both mirrored 15 points. Frazier’s total came in double-double fashion with 11 rebounds. Garrison Brooks (affiliate) finished with 14 points and 13 rebounds for his tenth double-double in the regular season. Justin Wright-Foreman (returning rights) added 10 points.

Capital City (11-9) was led by Davion Mintz’s 21 points. Trevion Williams has 14 points and 20 rebounds. Kris Dunn and Devon Dotson both ended with 16 points apiece.

The Knicks trailed by as many as 14 points in the contest and credited a lead as large as four. Despite the 19 lead changes but considering the 15 ties, the game was deadlocked after 48 minutes of action, 103-up.

With the target score set at 110, both clubs had numerous looks to take the victory. Capital City squandered seven scoring opportunities while the Knicks capitalized on three of them and that considerable Go-Go margin of error was all they needed to secure the win.

Following the NBA All Star Break, the Knicks return to action Friday, February 24 at 7 PM ET at Total Mortgage Arena against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.
