TARRYTOWN, NY – February 26, 2022 – The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, acquired Louis King as a Returning Rights player as announced by the team Saturday morning.

King, 6’7 205, went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft following a one-year collegiate career at Oregon. He averaged 13.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game for the Ducks and was named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman team.

After going undrafted, King spent time with the Detroit Pistons on a Two-Way contract. He would then sign with the New York Knicks and join Westchester as an affiliate player prior to the start of the 2021 NBA G League single site condensed season. He played in all 15 games for Westchester that season, averaging 13.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals in 32.2 minutes, while shooting 45.6-percent from three, which ranked sixth overall in the league.

The New Jersey product then signed a Two-Way contract with the Sacramento Kings in May of 2021 becoming the 13th Westchester Knick to receive a call-up and was waived by the team on February 17 after appearing in 16 NBA games and 12 NBA G League games with the Kings organization. With Stockton during Showcase (six games played), King averaged 18.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists. During the regular season, King’s line included 12.0 points, 6.2 rebounds and 4.0 assists through six contests.

King will wear no. 2 with Westchester.

Westchester faces Wisconsin tonight, February 26 at 8 PM ET.
