Fort Wayne Overwhelms Westchester

FORT WAYNE, IN – January 15, 2022 – The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, fell 132-104, to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants Saturday night at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.
The Westchester (1-4) trio of Dewan Hernandez (Returning Rights), Brandon Williams (tryout) and Alan Griffin (Available Player Pool) each eclipsed 20 points. Hernandez’s 25 points tied a game-high and came on 64.7-percent while hauling 14 rebounds (tied a game-high, tied career-high) etching his third double-double this season. Williams’ 23-point outing included three three-pointers and five assists. Totaling 21 points, Griffin pulled down 10 rebounds for his first double-double of the regular season.
Seven Mad Ants (1-2) scored double figures-three of which recorded double-doubles. Isaiah Jackson’s 25 points led his squad and Nate Hinton (23 PTS, 14 REBS), Terry Taylor (22 PTS, 12 REBS) and Walt Lemon Jr. (10 PTS, 12 ASTS) notably contributed.
The Knicks return to action Wednesday, January 19 hosting the Maine Celtics at 7 PM ET.
