All but Two Knicks Score Double-Figures; 905 Takes Game

MISSISSAUGA, ON – November 11, 2021 – Six Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, scored in double-figures but fell to Raptors 905, 119-95, Thursday night at Paramount Fine Foods Centre.

All but two Knicks (0-3) scored 10 or more including Brandon Williams (17 PTS; tryout), MJ Walker (15 PTS; affiliate), Aamir Simms (14 PTS; affiliate), Tyler Hall (14 PTS; returning rights), Lydell Elmore (11 PTS; draft) and bench contributor, Kethan Savage (10 PTS; tryout). Simms’ 10 boards solidify his second consecutive double-double. The backcourt duo of Williams and Hall split 10 assists evenly.

Westchester saw 33 of its 82 tries reach the bottom of the net (40.2%) while going 9-for-32 from three-point territory (28.1%). The Raptors (1-0) shot 60.8-percent and 45.5-percent from distance. The Knicks bested 905 at the charity stripe converting 72.2-percent of its attempts contrasting the Raptors’ 45.5-percent clip.

The Knicks managed to outscore 905 28-24 in the fourth quarter after being upended 95-67 through the first three frames. Its small bench rotation scored a season-high (14 PTS) though the Raptors’ second unit outscored them, in large part to Andrew Rowsey’s game-high 22 points. He would sink six triples and add three assists on the night.

Also, for the Raptors, Isaac Bonga put up 21 points, nine rebounds and five assists. Jawun Evans’ seven dimes led on the night.

The Knicks get another try at 905 tomorrow, November 12 at 7:30 PM at Paramount Fine Foods Centre.
