Nigel Hayes Returns to Westchester Knicks

WHITE PLAINS, NY, March 28, 2018 – The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, today announced the team has re-acquired forward Nigel Hayes.

Hayes (6-8, 255) signed two consecutive 10-day contracts with the Toronto Raptors to become the Westchester Knicks’ fourth NBA Call-Up of the 2017-18 season. He appeared in two games for Toronto, scoring 6.0 points in 6.2 minutes. Hayes also appeared in five games for Toronto’s NBA G League affiliate, Raptors 905, averaging 7.0 points, 1.6 assists, and 1.4 rebounds over 22.4 minutes per game. This was Hayes’ second NBA call-up of the season after previously signing a 10-day contract with the Los Angeles Lakers on Jan. 19, 2018.

In a related move, the Westchester Knicks have waived guard Ousmane Drame. Acquired on March 7, 2018, Drame (6-9, 225) appeared in five games for Westchester to average 3.0 points and 2.2 rebounds over 10.1 minutes per game.
