By Katie Hatch | August 24, 2017

WHITE PLAINS, NY, August 24, 2017 – The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knickerbockers, will tip-off its fourth season on the road on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 8:00 p.m. ET against the Windy City Bulls, the Chicago Bulls’ affiliate, with its home opener scheduled for Friday, Nov. 10 at 7:00 p.m. versus the Grand Rapids Drive, the Detroit Pistons’ affiliate, at the historic Westchester County Center in White Plains, NY.

The 50-game schedule features 24 home games at the Westchester County Center, 24 road games, and an additional two games at the annual NBA G League Showcase in January 2018, being held once again in Mississauga, Ontario.

Two of the four teams new to the NBA G League this season will pay a visit to Westchester. The Knicks will host the Lakeland Magic, the Orlando Magic’s new affiliate, on Sunday, Nov. 19 and again on Thursday, Dec. 21, while the Wisconsin Herd, the Milwaukee Bucks’ new affiliate, comes to White Plains on Saturday, Dec. 23.

Of the 24 home games at the Westchester County Center, 12 are scheduled to take place on either Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. This year’s schedule also includes two School Day games; the first on Wednesday, Nov. 29 against the Maine Red Claws, the Boston Celtics’ affiliate, and the second on Tuesday, Jan. 23 against the Canton Charge, the Cleveland Cavaliers’ affiliate. Both games will feature an 11:00 a.m. tip-off.

Prior to the 24-game regular season, Westchester will participate in one preseason game at home, with the match-up to be announced at a later date. MSG Networks will be telecasting Westchester Knicks games once again this season and all games are also available live via Facebook Live.

The 2017-18 Westchester Knicks will be led once again by Mike Miller, who heads into his third season as the head coach. The team welcomes Craig Robinson, the newly appointed vice president of player development and G League operations, to the Knicks’ leadership team this season while New York Knicks Legend Allan Houston returns for his fourth season as the Westchester Knicks’ general manager. Under Houston’s leadership, the team has had four players receive an NBA Call-Up (Langston Galloway, New York Knicks; Jimmer Fredette, New Orleans Pelicans and New York Knicks; Thanasis Antetokounmpo, New York Knicks; Chasson Randle, Philadelphia 76ers and New York Knicks).

Luke Kornet, a forward/center out of Vanderbilt University, will become the first Two-Way player for the New York and Westchester Knicks. New for the 2017-18 season, NBA teams are permitted to have two Two-Way players on their roster at any given time in addition to their 15-man regular season roster. Kornet will provide services primarily to the Westchester Knicks but can spend up to 45 days with New York, not including any time prior to the start of Westchester’s training camp and at the conclusion of its season on March 23, 2017.
